The Italian Restaurant Flagler Beach Has Been Keeping to Itself
March 31, 2026

There's a stretch of South Ocean Boulevard in Flagler Beach where the Atlantic is just close enough to remind you that you're somewhere special. That's where you'll find Romero's Tuscany by the Sea, a family-run Italian restaurant that has quietly become one of the best meals in Flagler County.
If you haven't been yet, your neighbors have, and they've been a little selfish about it.
A Family Kitchen with Tuscan Roots
Romero's doesn't try to be anything other than what it is: a family-owned Italian restaurant bringing the bright, honest flavors of Tuscany to the Florida coast. The atmosphere is cozy and festive without being loud about it. You walk in, the bread arrives, and the rest of the evening takes care of itself.
The menu is the kind that takes a few minutes to read because there's genuinely too much worth ordering. Not because it's padded with filler, but because the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing across a wide range of Italian classics. Homemade pasta, fresh mozzarella, handmade meatballs, slow-braised sauces. This is the kind of Italian food that earns repeat visits.

What to Order at Romero's Tuscany by the Sea
If it's your first time, the Penne a la Vodka is a good place to start. One regular, Ivan M., mentioned it by name in his review: "I recommend the vodka pasta, it was delicious." He also called out the cannoli, which, if you leave without trying, is your own fault.
For something more adventurous, the Lobster Ravioli in a pink cognac sauce with baby shrimp and crabmeat is the kind of dish you describe to people the next day. The Short Rib Ravioli in a mushroom and rosemary marsala sauce is another one worth planning around. Both come as part of a ravioli menu that goes well beyond cheese and marinara.
The chicken entrees are equally serious. The Chicken Panzanella is a breaded cutlet topped with cold fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and red onion finished with a balsamic demi-glaze. The Chicken Contadina brings together sausage, mushrooms, and potatoes in a rosemary marsala wine sauce. Every chicken and veal entree comes with a cup of soup or side salad and freshly baked bread.
Pasta Night Every Monday and Tuesday
This one deserves its own section. Every Monday and Tuesday evening, Romero's runs a Pasta Night at $23.95 per person. You get a choice of 15 pasta dishes, plus a soup or salad, a glass of house wine or soda, and dessert included. It's a complete Italian dinner for the price of a casual night out, and it's one of the best recurring deals in Flagler Beach dining.
Call ahead to reserve your spot. Weeknight tables fill up faster than you'd expect.
A Full Bar and a Reason to Linger
Romero's offers a full liquor bar alongside draft and bottled beer and an extensive wine list. The dessert menu closes things out the right way: housemade cannoli, Italian cheesecake, tiramisu, and rotating featured desserts. There's no reason to rush.
For larger gatherings, they offer a full catering menu with trays of their house specialties including Lasagna, Eggplant Rollatini, Penne a la Vodka, and more. It's worth a call if you're planning an event in Flagler County.
Denise J., who visited with a group of friends, put it simply: "Great food and excellent and attentive service from our server Robin. Best Italian restaurant in the area."
